The Supply Chain Planning Specialist will be responsible for managing the end-to-end planning for a couple of Home Appliance product categories.


Responsibilities

Demand Planning Management

  • Analyze historical sell-thru and industrial data, conduct PSI meetings and work with the Sales team, Business Planning team, Product Marketing team and various stakeholders to ensure sell-thru/sell-in forecast/demand is reasonable, and satisfy channel demand with reasonable inventory.

Supply Planning Management

  • Long-term plan and key resource management. Work with stakeholders to create a reasonable rolling 6/12-month plan, and work with HQ, Mexico Factory, Thailand Factory and Europe Factory to make sure the long-term resource and capacity is supporting the plan, and fix issues, if any.

  • Rolling Plan management. Timely and accurate updates to the rolling plan based on demand. Work with HQ, Mexico Factory, and Thailand Factory to ensure resources, production capacity, and shipping capacity can support the plan.

  • Internal order placement. Follow the internal order process to issue the internal order to factories, create the purchase order in SAP and arrange payment for vendors, if necessary.

  • Incoming plan maintenance. Weekly updates to the estimated incoming plan based on materials shipping schedules and production schedules at different overseas factories.

Fulfillment management

  • Production follow up. Work with factories in China, Mexico, Thailand, and Europe on long-term capacity planning and short-term production plans to ensure production can be finished on time to support the product shipping schedule and satisfy different customer orders in different locations via different trade mode (FOB/DDP/CIF etc.).

  • Work out the shipping plan of moving products from Mexico Factory to US DCs, taking into account the DC network and the allocation for different customers in different DCs. Monitor the execution of the shipping plan, evaluate and continuously improve Production Planning Conformance.

  • Work with Logistics team to track the shipping of products from China, Mexico, Europe and Thailand to ensure they can be delivered to the DCs or customer DCs on time.

Inventory Management

  • Inventory simulation: based on the sell-in forecast and incoming plan, work out the inventory simulation plan, figure out the potential risk, alert stakeholders of the risk and work with them to mitigate the risk and ensure inventory turnover is reasonable.

  • Abnormal inventory management: monitor abnormal inventory (monthly, weekly, daily), and work with Sales, Business Planning and Logistics to ensure there will be no abnormal inventory.

  • Channel inventory analysis: analyze channel inventory based on sell-thru, from both turnover and absolute numbers standpoint, to ensure channel inventory turnover is reasonable.

Process and tool optimization

  • Continuously improve the end-to-end process, work with the Process Management and IT teams to introduce and implement more efficient processes and IT tools.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or similar field.

  • 3-5 years’ experience with global sourcing and supply base management position criteria, demand planning, inventory planning, or production or manufacturing operations.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel SAP System knowledge and experience.

  • Excellent prioritization and time-management skills, ability to multi-task and work well under pressure and adjust work accordingly.

  • Great interpersonal and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Critical thinker, good team player, and results-oriented problem-solving skills.

  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success

  • Proficiency in English.

  • Proficiency in Chinese preferred.
